Achievements

Long-running goals that reward members for chatting, levelling, inviting friends and looking after their critters, with four tiers each.

Overview

Achievements track things members already do. Nothing needs to be switched on for the counting to start: the metrics behind them are the same ones that drive levels, the economy and the critter system, so a member's progress is already there the first time they run /achievements.

Each achievement has four tiers. Reaching a threshold unlocks that tier and leaves the next one visible, so there is always a next target rather than a single pass or fail.

Scope

Achievements are unlocked per server, but not all of them count per server.

  • Server achievements measure what a member has done in this server. Their progress starts again in a server they have just joined.
  • Global achievements measure something about the member's account across all of Natsumi, such as their coin balance or daily streak. The unlock is still recorded per server, so the same member can show the achievement in one server and not another until it is earned there.

Voice time counts in any voice channel except the server's AFK channel, and keeps counting while you move between channels. Reactions count when you add them, not when others react to you.

Configuration

Achievements are configured on the dashboard's Achievements page. The catalogue itself is fixed and shared by every server, so the per-server setting is which achievements are enabled. Turning one off hides it without erasing anyone's progress: re-enabling it brings the existing tiers straight back.

The same page shows server-wide progress, so you can see which achievements your members are actually chasing.
